2. The creation of the world

Many, many years ago, my children, all this wonderful world we see today did not exist. Neither the vast sky with the bright sun and the numerous stars, nor the land with the animals, the plants and the flowers. There was no sea with fish, nor even us humans. An immense darkness was spreading everywhere.
Only our good and eternal God existed.
God, Almighty that He is, Who can do whatever He wants, created this beautiful material world that we see with great wisdom, but He also created another spiritual world that we cannot see with our eyes. The angels of heaven belong in the spiritual world which He created even before our material world.

There is a book called the Holy Bible and it is God's book.
In this book we can learn how our good God created, with much love, the whole world we see, but also us humans. We can also learn how much He loves us and how much He wants us to love Him.
In the beginning, the Holy Bible says, that God created heaven and earth. The earth then had no form. The land and the sea were all mixed together, and a vast dark wilderness was everywhere. There was no sign of life. God then created the whole world in six days, with only one of His commands. He said that they were to be done and they all happened immediately.

On the first day God said:
"Let there be light!"
Immediately, a bright light began to spread everywhere and lit up everything.
Then God separated the light from the darkness and called the light "day" and the darkness "night". So that's how the first day of creation ended.

On the second day God said:
"Let there be heaven and earth!"
Then the vast celestial dome began to form and separate from the earth.

On the third day God said:
"Let the waters separate from the land!"
And that's what happened. The land rose up through the waters. Then God called the dry ground "land" and He called the waters "sea".
Then God said:
"Let the land grow every kind of plant and tree!"
Immediately the land was becoming green and every kind of plant and tree were growing everywhere. The buds on the flowers bloomed, the seeds grew and trees were bearing fruits. At the same time springs, rivers and lakes were forming.

On the fourth day God said:
"Let there be the sun, the moon and all the stars of the sky, which will light up the earth, to separate the day from the night and distinguish the seasons of the year!"
So the two great bright stars, the sun and the moon, as well as a countless multitude of stars that filled the sky, were created.

On the fifth day God said:
"Let there be all the creatures of the sea and sky!"
The sea was then filled with all kinds of fish that were swimming in the endless sea, and the sky began to fill with countless flocks of beautiful birds, fluttering joyfully in the blue sky and singing melodically.

On the sixth day God said:
“Let there be all the animals of the land!”
Then all the animals of the desert and the jungle were created, as well as all the animals that were grazing in the fields.
So that's how God created all this wonderful world in which we live!
